Bouldering Walls
Bouldering has been around for a long time but recently has become enormously popular. In tandem with this rise in popularity, dedicated bouldering centres have begun to appear. High Noon has been involved in designing and building some of the most innovative bouldering centres in the UK (see gallery). We can design and build exciting, multi- faceted bouldering areas which include a range of angles to suit beginners and elite climbers. A dense network of fixing sockets and optional moveable features provides a continually evolving climbing environment. We can also provide the all important (300mm) matting which makes bouldering both safe and enjoyable.
Leading Walls
Lead walls are the basis for most people's regular training in the UK. We can design and build exciting plywood based walls fixed to a purpose built steel frame. Lead bolts are fixed through the panels to the steelwork at metre intervals for easily accessible running belays. Our designs provide a dense network of fixing sockets for bolt on holds and the option of friction coatings/high relief panels. We can also provide corner features, aretes, overhangs, slabs etc to ensure the all important variety is built into your climbing centre.
School Walls
As funding becomes more readily available to support an expanding sports programme, so more schools are investing in their own climbing wall. Vertical and gently overhanging walls can provide more than enough challenge to engage students and develop necessary knowledge and skills. Our designs can accommodate GCSE course requirements and include all important features such as easy slabs and abseil towers. These elements can provide added interest to other community users such as partner schools, disabled groups and the wider community.
Traversing Walls
Traversing walls are an increasingly common feature in schools and youth/community centres. They can be safely built both outdoors and indoors and can provide an important extra dimension to recreational and physical activity programmes. They can also be relatively inexpensive and yet still provide a 'real' climbing experience.
Home Walls
Home walls have become increasingly popular as climbers seek to incorporate their training into busy lives! High Noon has a wealth of experience in this area and can design and build free standing or fixed walls to your needs. These walls can be relatively inexpensive.
